I like this place, everyone is friendly and welcoming. The beer is delicious, and the food is very good as well. The price is reasonable for how much you get. They also have very good choices for their food.

Nice place, pretty good food. We saw Big Grove Brewery in the Best of the Area 2014 publication for Johnson County, Iowa. So we thought we’d try it out for lunch today. The restaurant is located in a newly built facility in Solon, very nice looking on the outside, contemporary on the inside with booths around the walls and tables in the middle. We were greeted and seated quickly by a nice young man, our wait person came right after that, knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered Ham and biscuits with red pepper jelly for $5. The ham was too dry for me to swallow. Also Potted Pig, $8, braised pork shoulder, pickled mustard seed with focaccia bread. Bread was very tasty but the meat had very little flavor. Loved the Tater Tot Casserole. $6, ground beef. housemade mushroom soup, cheddar, and wonderfully crispy tater tots on top. Yummy! I had Solons West Main Wheat beer that was delicious, very much like the Blue Moon that I like. My hubby had Dougie’s Fresh Stout, which he wasn’t sure about at first, but said it grew on him. He also sampled Good Day DIPA which he liked. This is a neat place and we’ll go back. I want to order the reuben sandwich next time. There’s a nice patio for good weather.

Gone downhill. We went when it first opened and the food was great. Our last three visits have been super disappointing. They seem to be skimping on everything from ingredients to presentation. We kept going back thinking we ordered the wrong thing but every dish we or our guests have ordered has been underwhelming. Bummer because we like the beer and atmosphere.

Great Experience. It is so wonderful to have this place in Solon. It’s fun to sit at the bar and sample their different brews, either as a nightcap or waiting to be seated. I’ve had several meals there, my latest was the sausage and cheese on flatbread. The meat tray is a fun little appetizer too. Unique. If there is one downside, it is a bit noisy inside when it is very busy, but I still hope to get a chance to get out on the patio next to one of those tables with the fire in the center before the fall is over. Super fun place in Solon.

GREAT. LOVE the food. LOVE the building. LOVE the beer. LOVE the service. Worth the drive from Iowa City where I am at or even from Cedar Rapids. Highly recommend!

Pretty Drive, Great Good. Love this brewery/pub! We went when they had only been open for a couple weeks. The food is wonderful as are the drinks and service.
