The wait staff gave us an extremely wierd look when we strolled in, the salsa had too many onions and was very thin, the chips appeared to be store bought, the actual plates were unbelievably hot, and there was no beer menu at the table. On the upside the food was decent enough and the portions were more than we were expecting.
Favorite Restaurant. I have been to this restaurant on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. If you are very hungry I would recommend the Tres Potrillos. I come to this restaurant whenever I have the opportunity.

Don’t get the carnitas unless you like boiled ham with semi-sauted veggies and no sauce/seasoning. I’m not sure where the 90%+ rating came from (probably the owners) but do yourself a favor and pass on Chapala.
Spicy salsa, tasty food @ margaritas…huge portions. Loved it!
The portions are huge, which makes it worth your money. The salsa is very spicy, which I absolutely love because I usually have to add half a bottle of hot sauce to even make it half as good . The only thing I was disappointed with was the chille relleno. It was done very cheaply and didn’t taste very good. However, the burrito and chimichanga at my table were a BIG hit! I would definitely come back.
