Traveling across Iowa from Des Moines to Dubuque (from I-80 went north to Rt.20E through Waterloo). So glad we found this coffeehouse–atmosphere is arty and relaxed, our breakfast was fresh and delicious (ham, cheese & egg on the best chiabatta we’ve had ever), servers were solicitous and owner came to our table and talked to us like an old friend. The lattes were superior–competitive with any large metropolis’ offerings. Plus, the music had a real melody line, not just a rhythm. Superlative experience–if you’re anywhere close, GO!!
Cozy. I absolutely love this place. There is a wide variety of coffee blends and beverages. The breakfast and lunch menu hit the spot. My co-workers and I met for lunch there once and we haven’t gone anywhere else since. Friendly staff, owner, and patrons… and great atmosphere.

Hidden treasure. I love this place. Delicious well price food, drinks, and a lovely smiling staff. I have had a few mistakes there. Hey, no one is perfect but every mistake has been very well taken care of. They understand how to make you feel important. Its a little hidden gem in downtown. Its not very noticeable but next time your down there look for it. You will be happy you found it!
Great Food. Great sandwiches and wraps as well as a Saturday morning breakfast that can’t be beat for $5.
