Funky Vibe. The funky cafe atmosphere is inviting. I had the burger with smoked Gouda. Very good. The don’t smash their burgers so they are really juicy. Definetly a must do when in Waterloo area.
I really wouldn’t say they are vegan friendly here at the Paradise Cafe. We ordered dry toast for breakfast and it came buttered. Either they don’t know what that meant or they messed up the order. The menu was limited for vegan options and didnt identify veg options.
Excellent meal of real-fancy-like BLT on pretzel roll, and sweet potato salad side. Local ingreeds, great service, urban vibe.
Good food, pricey!
Awesome little hometown place. Cool atmosphere with great menu. Our server Sarah, very cute, had the harmonious attitude needed for an artsy place such as Newton’s. Everyone is friendly, food is glorious, atmosphere is welcoming and addicting. A win for the small town entrepreneur establishment.
Breakfast today. In the area, and have not had breakfast at Newtons yet, so we decided to try it. The menu stated the biscuits and gravy was the BEST. I love biscuits and gravy, so decided on that, my spouse had steak and eggs. The tray comes (it is so large, it is not a plate but a serving tray). There is a pic on this main page, has two LARGE dry biscuits STACKED, and I ordered a side of sausage patty, which was jabbed through it all with a big stick. The menu states it is SAUSAGE PEPPER gravy, HOWEVER, there is NOOOO sausage in this gravy! It was JUST pepper gravy. The ‘homemade’ sausage patty must be turkey. It was dry and crispy where it was charred from the grill. The steak and eggs order, the steak was good, said my spouse, there must of been almost one pound of hash browns heavily fried and VERY thick and crispy. Such a huge waste of food. At the most half of that hash browns would of been PLENTY and half the thickness. It was like a casserole of hash browns. They need to amend the menu to show it is NOT sausage gravy. Give some thought to two or three SMALL flaky biscuits instead of giant tough ones.
