Five locations, all different.. There are now five of these in Des Moines, and each one is different in decor and, in some cases, prices and menu items.This one was quite tiny, but looked nice. No counter to sit at like three (?) of the other locations do. Service was fine and the Cozy Mess was great.Be sure to check out the 14th St location – completely different, and with steak and such on the menu.
Great sandwiches and cavatelli. Gets very crowded for lunch and breakfast – can be difficult to get in.
Disappointing. Family of three for dinner. No one including the teenager could finish their meal and it wasn’t due to lack of hunger. If you’re looking for Spaghetti O’s, then this is the place for you.
New Cozy Location. Went to the new location tonight for dinner. Standard fare menu with nothing that stood out. Had a Turkey sandwich, fries and salad. Fries appeared to be baked and were squishy with no crisp to them at all. Sandwich was ok but had very little turkey on it. It was ok but nothing that made me want to return. There was no decor and it was dark inside. Not a very inviting atmosphere at all. Village Inn around the corner has better food. Oh and my iced tea was 30% of my meal cost.

Love Cozy Cafe! From the Christian music they play over the radio, to the friendly wait staff, to the great food make this place the best family dining destination. We keep this restaurant in our back pocket for when we don’t know what we want for dinner, because they rarely disappoint.
Good for breakfast not dinner. LOVE the coffee flavors of the day! Yum!
