Great place very friendly staff and a lot of food for the money we have a family of four can order a meal for two feed us all and still have leftovers
LOVE. I have eaten here 3 times so far & loved it every time. This is where I will take family when they come in to visit. The fried chicken is fabulous, fresh, just perfect! It is a good price too, considering all the food you get. We always bring leftover chicken home. The staff is always very coutreous, even when my 1 year old isn’t cooperating. I am not sure why there is a 75% rating.. I am pretty picky when I spend the money to eat out, most of the time I don’t because I can cook better food at home. This is a place we will be going back to for sure!
Front in staff rude and disrespectful!. My husband and I walked in the door Saturday afternoon, after the dinner rush, I was asked if we had a reservation. I said ‘No, was that a problem?’.This woman rolled her eyes and said they could seat us, we should wait over there, pointing to the gift area. We sat there 5 minutes and the SAME woman who told us to wait over there, looked right at us and asked if we wanted something??? Another staff member corrected her and told her you just told them to sit there to wait on a table! we were finally seated, by this time my husband was angry for being treated this way but stayed he knew I had wanted to try it here. Our waitress was so very sweet, (front staff needs to take lessons), Food was good but not worth the trouble. Sorry Brookville you get a thumbs down and I will not recommend you to our military family.
What’s there not to like?. Can’t believe the couple of negative reviews I saw here. I was travelling to the area and someone told me about this place, figured since it is where my grandmother grew up I should swing through and see how it goes. Couldn’t believe how much food they brought out, ALL homecooked, no instant potatoes like said by someone else. Good portions, delicious food, tried some new things here like the spiced apple relish. Highly recommended for anyone travelling nearby, and then check out the Eisenhower museum too.
Good Gravy. The fried chicken is nothing amazing, but the mashed potatoes and gravy are the best ever.
Why all the hype?. Our experience was not good. The bland chicken with instant mashed potatoes……for 15.00…wasnt impressive. And just about everyone was rude….the hostess/cashier needs some social skills. I wont be going back soon.
