Joe Snuffy’s is a small town diner, which is what makes it so great. The food and service are consistently good. My breakfast favorite is biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns and it’s always yummy. Last week we discovered that we can do carry out orders.
Hard to find. First, if you are a tourist.. Go south of I-70 on Buckeye (exit 275) past the railroad tracks and turn right on first. If you get lost, just ask a local where Miller’s Tavern used to be.Now for the food. Maybe some won’t call it a five but in Abilene this place is a ten. My wife and I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and it was one of the best we’ve ever had. The onion rings are made from real onions instead of the frozen stuff you find in most places. The baked beans are marvelous but the coleslaw had a bit too much vinegar for me. The next day my wife had Fried Chicken and I had a Hammer Burger. I won’t bore you with how good it was but I can tell you they actually cook food here. You won’t get the frozen mocrowaved barely edible stuff found in the north end of town. It’s less than 2 miles south of I-70 and well worth the extra time. Enjoy. I sure did.
Great Place. Large portions, great prices, clean and friendly. Fried Chicken was great, I have had burgers that are awsome and their salads are large and great too. cant go wrong with Snuff’ys
Good food, good price, big portions. My in-laws live in Abilene and when we asked where a good place to eat was, they suggested Joe Snuffy’s. It was exactly what I needed–good food in big portions with a bustling and friendly atmosphere. Anya (sp?), the co-owner, stopped by our table to chat with us and she was very nice. I had breakfast, my husband had the cajun chicken, and my in-laws both had the chicken-fried steak and we all were very happy with our food and left satisfied.
Great!. Not a burger lover, but followed my co-workers here. Yum to the Patty Melt and Onion Rings! I plan to make the drive back (25 miles) to take my husband, who will LOVE their large burgers and chicken fried steak. This place may just make this quasi-vegetarian a burger lover!
Nice little mom and pop place. Good food and very reasonable prices. You get quite a bit of food for your money. Plus, breakfast is served until 5 pm! Got to love big fluffy, buttery pancakes for lunch!
Not too bad. Fairly decent breakfast. Pretty average but the service was good and the waitress was quite funny. Decent prices.
