Place was alright price is a little to expensive then most bar and grills. Food was great to my husband and kids. Salad was dry and wasn’t to my tasting. Food came pretty quick for my family. Not as quick for me. It was 10 minutes into my family eating their food. And still no salad for me. Waitress comes by and realized I didn’t get my salad. Service is satisfactory cause of my experience
Food. I go for the combo of good food and relaxed atmosphere. The sports theme is right with KC Chiefs and Royals headlining. The KState colors are here in force, but you can see an effort to include local school and organizational props as well. That is important and not found with any sencerity at a chain store. The food is good enough to find a favorite if you like the Bar & Grill fare, with a few nice specialties ( The Jackhamner!). The Bar is nice and has booths to sit in each with its own tv with sound, a plus. There is a patio for the good weather days with cast iron tables and chairs and four big TVs. Staff is the local townies that are hired for being on time and being liked, so dont expect to be treated better than you treat them, however I get friendly and polite everytime I go. I like the afternoon crowd that everyone seems to know, except me, and the sunday afternoon crowd is all about the Chiefs. The Sat NCAA Alumnis come out in force, but are nice to talk trash to. All in all this is the place to go if you are tired of the chain box resturants, and you dont want a loud stinky bar. Take a date, even if your married to her/him and you’ll get atmosphere and privacy. The Triple Play app is killer. My wife loves the queso, Im all about the salsa, the spinich atrichoke dip is split between us and it is perfect to snack on over a few drinks while we get together without the kids…
Nice Atmosphere…. Well, well, well… This was a pleasant surprise. Tucked a bit back in Junction City, but not too far. Cozy feel, clean, and a decent sized family sports bar with a calm crowd. Waited for several minutes feeling out of place to be seated. When we were noticed, the hostess walks toward us texting, with no apology for the wait. Our sever was friendly enough. The appetizers were better than the main meal. Try the fried pickles and mozzarella sticks. My burger was okay. the sauce on it was great and cooked to my liking. However the ground beef itself could have used more flavorful seasoning. Again, good, not great…will try again.
I like it. This is a pretty solid place to have lunch. You aren’t going to be overwhelmed with how awesome the food is, but it’s a fun atmosphere and you can expect to be satisfied
OK Bar Food. I have gone here twice. The first time I got chicken fingers and they were really good. The french fries are your typical crinkle cut fries that you can get out of a bag frozen, those were not as good. The second time I came I got spinach artichoke dip and it was disgusting. It was not cheesy and was cold, very chunky like what little cheese was in it had congealed into a blob. I was very disappointed. The waitress did not charge me for it which I was thankful and brought out some nacho cheese dip. If I were drinking, I would have probably not noticed as it is typical bar food.
Excellent food. The chicken fried steak is enough to eat for 3 days! Very good, will be back.
This is a friendly local place with a general sports bar feel. Not the worst place you’ll ever go, and the portions are right. Friendly staff, daisy dukes, close to home.
