Not up to KC standard for burnt ends, sauce was too much on the tomato side. Potato salad and cole slaw good. I would stick with Stacks.…

The food at this particular location is nothing to rave about. Go to the original Arthur Bryant’s if you want the real deal.20 Jul, 2014Average bbq. Oklahoma Joe’s and Jack Stack are better.
What happened to the sauce ?. We’ve been going to Bryant’s for decades, so no complaints about anything until now…Is the Wyandotte location watering down their sauce? Just had carry-out, and it’s no where close to the thickness of the bottled stuff. Don’t skimp on a good thing, Bryants. Still the best BBQ in KC….hands down.
Get the burnt ends. No sauce compares with Bryant’s. Of course the Village West location is no comparison to the original on Broadway but in a pinch, it will do.
Facts to be heard before going.. The original is better. There is no doubt. But since I LOVE Bryants, this is a quick fix. It’s damn good. It’s just the original is excellent!!! I have been going to Bryants since, …..well……over 40 years, so I love the sauce. BUT IT IS SUBJECTIVE and sometimes folks don’t like it. I get that. Also, I can only order one thing. Roast Beef Sandwich. I LOVE IT. The Roast Beef Sandwich is great, the fries are great and the beans are great. Ohm and do yourself a favor……Red Cream Soda.
Plain and simple…. If you’re gonna go to Arthur Bryant’s, you simply must go to 12th and Brooklyn in KCMO.
AB’s on Brooklyn is a shrine.. AB’s in the Village West is an abomination. You might notice the lack of a BBQ pit at this location. That’s because they don’t do any cooking here.No matter what part of the city you’re in, skip the tourist trap at the Speedway and go to the original AB’s on Brooklyn,
It’s okay. But there are much better choices for BBQ. Nothing is bad but nothing is also worth returning for. You’ll have better results at the original location. At least the atmosphere is authentic there.
