Drove an hour to get here and I must admit it is the best mexican food around.
Bomb diggity. I recommend caldo De res and anything with barbacoa in it. This place is great and authentic however I do feel the need to switch it up and r meat at San Antonio s sometimes…These two places are my fav
Taco Tuesday!. My friend Andrea and I went for lunch on the suggestion of the student (we both teach high school in KCK). It was AMAZING!! We each ordered tacos and got them to go. We had to stand in line, which is always a good indication of great food. It was worth the wait. The menu is a little intimidating, but since you have the wait time in line you manage to get everything figured out by the time you order. I will be going back next week and I have a taco being delivered to me by a friend as I type this! There is also a bakery across the street and they have sell various Hispanic pastries and churros, so your dessert if taken care of too!
Awesome. This place is great. Other reviews said the menus are only in Spanish, but they have since changed to have english as well. I had 2 pastor tacos and 2 barbacoa tacos, they were amazingly fresh and tasty. Both varieties were rich and full of flavor. I’d highly reccomend this place.
Authentic! It’s a small grocery store with a deli up front and a long line, always a good sign! They even have pastors ( pork & pineapple) and tripe though I did not try the tripe… The steak and pastors were both great and so was the avocado salsa. I had tacos, $1 each on Friday, your choice of meat in a soft corn tortilla. Topped with onions and cilantro. A nice change from tex-mex.
Great Family Outing!. Had my brother and his family meet Me and husband there last Sat and between the seven of us we had a smattering of things all over the menu. I had carne asada gorditas and al pastor soft tacos. There are containers of assorted condiments on each table to slather on your items as desired. It was a divine experience for me and there were happy faces all around the table! My sister-in-law and the daughters do prefer less authentic type Mexican food (ie Panzon’s, Tequila Harry’s) so, we may not get them back but, my brother, nephew and husband are in for another round..anytime! (Serious Gordita Love-crumbly queso fundito on top-my mouth is watering!!)
