Honestly, pretty decent for chain BBQ. Had the ribs and burnt ends, ordered the ribs dry. Ribs were just a shade over done and lacked a bit of smoke flavor, but pretty good overall. Burnt ends were good, be prepared for a sweeter sauce on them. The corn bread muffin that comes with all meals is a great swap from the usual white bread or Texas toast.

Lots of flavor, nice presentation, lots of food – not cheap but a great value.at $18.99 for one person. You can probably fill that teenager with this!
Great BBQ. For a Chain BBQ joint it is awsome. As for smoking the meats on premises? Yes they DO!!! i have seen the smoker. It is the largest SoutherPride smoker in Wyndotte Co. It is a Wood smoker with Gas assisist. I also work in the area and what an nice smell to have in the air!!!! The staff is always great the atmosphere rocks. I have never had a bad experience. I have had to wait for up to 25 minutes for a seat, but it is worth it???? i highly recomend Famous Daves at the Speedway in KCK……
Some of the worst BBQ anywhere nothing is made on site meat is packaged & heated back up & side are from a can or a 5 gallon bucket if you are born & raised in Kansas you would be a idiot to like this place
Had never gone to a barbecue place. But I loved it. Great prices good and service. I would go again just for the southwest rib tips. They were just right n the spicy sauce that comes with it even better
One thing I have really liked at Famous Daves was the catfish. The last time we went there was for my daughters birthday. I was so disappointed to learn they took them off the menu. No explanation or apology. I have dietary concerns and this did not make me happy! Even wrote an email to the company and have received no response. Will not go until they get the catfish back.
Not worth the wait at all. I wrote the company a letter complaining, but it did no good. I would rather eat at a corner dive BBQ place than to pay their price for mediocre food, and lousy service with dirty tables. The food as i said is mediocre at best, why is this place so famous? It has to be for the dirty tables rude service and a filthy bathroom that smelt so bad you could smell it in the hallway! I Have had three meals here, two were average at best and the last was horrindous! Why would anyone wait 1 hour for this? Save your self the trouble and eat elsewhere.BBQphil, I agree with you, maybe I should get drunk to eat here. Maybe then it would actually be average
