We dropped by Gates’ on our way home from Joe’s BBQ. Our intention was to compare the food side by side. For one, the queue is SO MUCH shorter at any Gates’ location. So even if the food isn’t that great compared to Joe’s I would much rather go here.The specialty to have here is the Burnt Ends with their sauce. It was really good, definitely worth multiple visits. The fries were quite good as well, large & crispy.The service wasn’t great though. It was certainly a lot worse than Joe’s, but then I guess there’s a reason Joe’s is super crowded & this isn’t.
