There is nothing fresh about this place at all. The seafood in the glass looked horribly old. Im surprised I didnt get food poisoning just from looking at the fish. I’m just glad I didn’t get shot.
Should be renamed ‘Fishy Jack’s’ because there is something pretty fishy about the freshness of the food here. I walked in to see about the freshness of their salmon in hopes I might use it for sushi. The salmon looked like stuff sold out the back of a car on the side of a road. Discoloring on the edges, dried- just awful. I walked out. This place probably was a great place a decade ago. Now it is a tired, worn out and fishy operation. I took my sweet ass street side for some catfish instead!

Visit City Fish instead…… Ordered two catfish strip dinners and after presenting my amex to pay the sale decline due to they had changed the type of credit card machine when I asked the girl when this happen since I’ve eaten there frequently the girl started yelling and held up the machine showing me they didn’t take amex anymore I proceeded to pay with cash and she continue to berate me and then told me to be afraid, be very afraid as if she was going to attack me. Believe me I will not be returning, and don’t recommend this place if this is the type of people they hire to represent them. During all this the manager told her over and over to stop talking and she just kept going on and on I literally paid to be disrespected. Maybe their under new ownership because the food was horrible at least I could have gotten a decent meal after all the threats I went thru to get it.
Not a huge fan. Maybe my bar was set a little high after reading the reviews. Had the ocean perch and slaw. Perch was dry and disappointing. Slaw was decent but you are not going there for their sides. Probably not heading back.
Mad Jacks Fresh Rocks. Three of us met there for lunch before heading to KS Fed Courthouse down the street. Nice people and great food! So lightly breaded it’s hard to call it breaded. I’ll be coming back.
DELICIOUS. The place looks really plain, but the fish is great. Finding a really good fish place in the middle of the USA is not an easy task. If you are want some great seafood, this is the place.
