This is the BEST Mexican food in Kansas City! The owners are wonderful people who work hard to make delicious and authentic Mexican food. We have eaten there over 25 times and have never disliked a meal. We have referred multiple people to Tacos El Matador….and they have all loved it! Skip Jose Peppers and go HERE for amazing food.
Gordita Love on Valentine’s Night!. Took my lover-boy for a surprise excursion Valentine’s night. (ok busted-so I was looking forward to it too!) Every time I find Gordita’s on a menu I have to give them a try and these put all the others I’ve had to shame. The Gordita biscuit itself is the best I’ve had, and the filling was good. Also had the guacamole, tostada, & taco. I don’t know what all my husband had but he raved about the Gordita also. Nice clean restaurant, off the beaten path and through a chuck hole ridden parking lot but oh so worth it. Great service, nice people..they can plan on seeing us again.
Good find. Don’t let the hole-in-the-wall appearance of this taco joint fool you; Tacos El Matador exceeded my already high expectations. Our service was fast and very friendly and the tacos el pastor were great. It was my first time there but I will definately be going back.
