Food was good though they do not have much vegetarian options. Beware of their soups as they have meat broth. Serving size are small compared to the value. Exterior is bad yet interior is ambient. It would be better if they make menu more vegetarian friendly.
I like this place but today I am leaving here frustrated. When did asking for some green onions become a challenge? In my days of working in the food world no was not an option.
I crave this place…. I will be honest the only thing I’ve ordered here is the Bun (Combination of Pork, Shrimp and Beef) and I’m addicted to it. The vegetables are so fresh and crisp, the meat is perfectly cooked and the heat from the noodles and meat wilts the cilantro oh-so nicely. Half the time I don’t even use the sauce. I’ve tried things that my friends have ordered and they’ve all been good, but I just can’t get over that Bun. The sweet potato fries with shrimp aren’t my favorite of all the Vietnamese restaurants in town, but I love, love, love that Bun.
Great Noodles. I am a fan of Vietnamese noodle dishes and the Vietnam Cafe does a good job on these. On a recent trip, I had the beef broth with mixed seafood. The broth was sweet and full-flavored and, with a little fish sauce, very pleasant. The seafood was perfectly cooked, except for the squid which was as always a little tough. The mussels were especially good, plump and full of the taste of the sea.The service was attentive.
Great. We have been dining here for several years and have never been disappointed. The Bun – done any way they have – is something I crave. What seems so simple can be done so wrong at other places, but not here. The service is always perfect.
Pretty good-not great. Pretty traditional. Been around for awhile. It’s good though not as good as Sung Son (I’m nover sure how it’s spelled)
