It was ok. The fried pickles were really good and I loved the flavor of the Cajun pasta. Service was mediocre and I never got a refill on my water. Booths are super uncomfortable and need to be gone. hungry4morefoodie.blogspot.com

Best Fish And Chips!. I was visiting 23rd Street Brewery as a new critic. Our hotel suggested it, so some friends and I tried it, the atmosphere is excellent, beer list was extensive, the fish and chips is a must, and the service is hard to beat.

Beer is great! Food is just eh…. Don’t expect to go here and get good food. It’s ok at best. The beer is phenomenal.

Yummmmmmmmmmy. THE BEST CAJUN PASTA HANDS DOWN OUTSIDE OF NEW ORLEANS. My husband will drive from Topeka to get it to GO!

We decided to try this restaurant for lunch. Although they were not busy, it took quite awhile for anyone to seat us. We though we would sit outside. However, when we got outside all the tables, except the 2 occupied tables had dirty dishes on them. The hostess/waitress picked up the dirty plates and put hem on the next table. Then the chairs ere broken so we moved to another table and she did the same with those dirty dishes. Then she told the other waitress to wipe off a spill of dressing off our table. She left. After wiping the other left. And we remained outside with dirty dishes and the menus. Not a word. We left to eat at Freestate which was awesome as always.

Greasy, pricey, and snobby. Don’t get me wrong, I continue to visit this restaurant from time to time mostly due to its proximity to my house. Over the past 6 years living in Lawrence I’m saddened to say my impression has not improved. The food on the menu never changes which is a little disappointing. Additionally the cost of some of the courses is rather high for what you get. For my husband and I to eat without even an alcoholic beverage or bill is at least $35! Additionally I’m continually disappointed by the wait-staff. Seems as if we are a burden. Most of the food I’ve ordered aside from salads have been rather greasy. If I were to make recommendations I would advise them to create a nightly special out of something not already on the menu.
