Yum yum yum. Superb place with great food. There is not a negative thing I can say about the place. It has a warm and entertaining atmosphere and also a very friendly staff. One of the best things about it is that you can usually get your food within two to five minutes of ordering, which I have never experienced at any other restaurant before. The floor to ceiling Hispanic decor is a plus as well. One of the most interesting things about El Mez is that it has a fountain right in the middle of the dining area. Really makes me question the thought process that went along with that decision, but nonetheless children seem to love throwing whatever coins they can get their hands on into it. I love the place and so do many people, but my absolute favorite thing about it is the food. For about three years, whenever I went there with my family I would order the same thing because that is how much I loved it. Beef nachos with a side of refried beans to be precise. My dad always hated that I would order cause I could never finish it but I did not really care all I wanted was my favorite food. Now however I switched to the Burrito Gigante because it is to die for. It is very simple but the best thing they have on the menu in my opinion. Top that off with a side of bean dip and you might as well be in heaven. I guess the one downside to the place is my stomach is so full after the chips and salsa, main course and dip that I don’t feel good the rest of the time. I know what the food is going to do to me but I cannot help myself. In my opinion I think the place is well worth a visit. If you had a bad experience the first time, definitely go back because I guarantee that it will not happen again. Overall it is a terrific place, it won’t break the bank, there is great staff but most of all the food is perfect.
