this was by far one of the worst experience at a first watch. service was ridiculously slow. staff wasn’t attentive at all. food took forever to get to us. had no flavor. coffee was one of the priciest among any breakfast place. pancakes were just disoriented. waited forever to get a togo box that we requested so we left paying our tab.
Great Breakfast/Brunch. This is a fun spot to eat. The food is always very tasty and it’s a step up from your ordinary diner breakfast fare. The downside to this particular location is the wait time. It can be a long wait to get a seat, but I suppose that is to be expected since this is Lawrence. Once you get a seat the service is quick and courteous. Defiantly a favorite place to grab breakfast on a Saturday morning for me.
Consistently good good variety of dishes for breakfast or lunch. I like this mini chain. They only do breakfast or lunch and we have never been disappointed with any meal. I don’t usually like chains because they don’t usually put their own spin on dishes. But this place is different and the menus sometimes change to spice things up a bit. We have been to this one many times with my wife and kids and a few times with two in Overland Park. The menu is interesting and there is breakfast items which are pretty good but I usually go for the lunch item with their variety of sandwiches, soups, salads or combinations. I like the Santa Fe chicken .. (more on my blog)
