Ate lunch on a Saturday. Service was painfully slow. Took 45 minutes after ordering. Then the salmon on the salad was rotten. Smelly and the wrong color. Can’t believe they served it. When we complained about the time issue our waiter said he was ready to quit too. Poorly run. Poorly managed. We won’t be back.

Where have you been all my life?!. After a Saturday stroll through Mass St, my husband and I were on the prowl for a decent brunch and just happened across Global Cafe. We had our 10-month-old son with us, so we were weary of any establishment that seemed limited on space. We stopped to check out their daily special board and I was immediately captivated so we decided to give it a try and boy am I glad we did! The service was amazing and everyone was so friendly towards our little boy, which makes all the difference in the world to us. He had their strawberry pancake and loved it! I had a very tasty omellete with chorizo sausage and other tasty veggies, and I can’t remember for the life of me what my husband had as he ate it so quickly! We’re definitely big fans and will certainly be going back soon–perhaps first thing tomorrow morning. BIG compliments to the chef!

Hit the spot!. My husband and I went here for lunch today, 08/16/2012. We both loved it! Our waitress was really nice, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. I plan on making it one of our usual spots.

I used to like this place until trying to eat there on a Saturday morning. Waited and waited for someone to take my order but no one ever came by. Walked out and won’t be back.

Incredibly Disappointing.. After looking at the menu online, my husband and I were so excited to try Global Cafe! Locally owned, inexpensive, and a relatively unique menu are all right up our alley. We could not have been more disappointed. It took over 45 minutes for the four of us to get our food. We had to ask the waitress for napkins and silverware after we were finally served. She placed a pile of napkins topped with a pile of silverware in the center of the table. The arepas were awful. They consisted of too-thick undercooked lumps of cornmeal stuffed with packaged shredded cheese that was not even halfway melted. The meat in the sandwiches was tough and dried out. My husband has had a better Cuban at Cheeseburger in Paradise, and he is never ever quick to praise a chain over a local place. My friend said his omelette was mediocre at best. Do yourself a favor and read the menu online to get recipe ideas and make them yourself instead of wasting your time and money here.

Escapism. For anyone trying to get away from the hectic world or just looking for a calming atmosphere to enjoy a good cup of joe, this is the best place to do it. Each and every person working there were knowledgeable about their products and were more than friendly to talk with.
