Had the Charcuterie board, bone marrow, and beef short rib special…ok and some Mezcal! Delicious food, nice atmosphere, very pleased! I would definitely come back for another meal…waitress was a little aloof about menu items…cocktails or food.
This place has a low-key, hip style that appeals to us and I believe will appeal to many people in the KU community. Of course, were not townies, but we appreciate the food, because it is different and fantastic.
You will hear great things. These things will be true. You will have high expectations. They will be met. Delicious food. Meaningful neighborhood atmosphere. Relevant menus. That being said…if you’re looking to have dinner here (not an afternoon weekday sandwich offering) you will want to go ahead and sell the farm first.
This place is amazing!!! Smoke brisket sandwich and fried green tomatoes today for lunch. Can you hear the Angels in Heaven singing? That is how good the food is at Hanks!!!!
The pork shoulder sandwich I had was nothing short of sacramental. Also tried the corned beef and the lamb burrito, which were equally explosive in flavor. Call to make sure they’re open and have what you want!
