One of the best authentic Chinese food I have ever had. Was with couple of friends and had a few dishes to try. The tofu was soft and sauce made it flavorful and had a kick to it which made tofu mouth watering. The dish with fried chicken, rice and curry was very flavorful. Chicken was done right crispy at the same time juicy and and had good spice combination. The egg plant dish was to die for egg plants were soft and held their texture and had a good fresh tasting flavor. Last my personal favorite the lamb dish which had plenty of fresh veggies and herbs and spices to push it to the next level. Overall was a wonderful experience
I’ve been searching for good Chinese food in Lawrence. I’ve found a contender. I’ve only had the lunch special, but I got a lot of delicious food for not a lot of money. I also had a REALLY nice waiter. He gave me a fresh coke before I was even halfway done, as well as a HUGE to-go cup, and he was fast, funny, and nice. I’m definitely glad I stopped here for lunch.

Delicious, gracious, and elegant. Thus was my first time here, but my family members have dined here often enough that my brother was aske, coming in the door, if he would like his usual glass of wine. Now that is service! The staff Is very friendly without being intrusive and the food….the food was delicious!! My sister must eat gluten free and they graciously adapted a dish to meet her needs…and it was awesome! My pineapple rice, with chicken, was excellent…the fresh pineapple a great contrast tot the tomatoes, cashews, chicken and brown rice. My nephew had a wonderful Korean noodle dish that met his hot-and-spicy culinary tastes. The decor is elegant, but comfortable and inviting. I see why it’s one of their favorite spots…and I’ll be back…soon!
Diner. I eat at Oriental Bistro almost every week, and i never seem to get tired of the menu. There are so many choices. I love the sushi. My fav’s are the Lobster Triton, and the fish kettle. The baked scallops are also awesome, even though it’s not much in the category of what most people might consider sushi. I enjoy the Thai selections like the yellow and red curry dishes. On a chilly day, the Thai beef noodle soup really hits the spot. The owner’s brother recently came on board in the kitchen and is highly trained in Thai food. I understand that they will be putting some new Thai dishes on the menu, and i can’t wait to try them. Alan, the manger always has some great suggestions, has a can-do attitude, and is always warm, friendly,and serves with a smile. None of my special request have ever been denied.
Don’t get the calamari. 6.29 for 5 small pieces? It wasn’t even good. Let’s see how long this place last.
