Best meal I’ve had in a long time! I ordered the Arancini for an appetizer and the shrimp fettuccine for dinner. Food was amazing, and the service was even better. Claire was our server. She was very friendly and attentive. I will come back here anytime I’m in Lawrence.
I have tried several dishes here and haven’t disliked any! I consider myself somewhat picky about my food. I started going to previous location and followed when they moved. My favorite dish is the Lafayette Penne, tree sausage in it especially is amazing but the mix of ingredients makes it a stand alone favorite! If after that you actually have room for dessert, their Banana Bread Pudding is to die for! They still need some work since the move in training wait staff I must agree but I sat at the bar last time and got first rate attention. These are chef’s! They’ve done an amazing job working their way up from old location into a space if their own. KUDOS GUYS!
Make sure you like everything you order. We go out to eat a lot and Basil Leaf Cafe, is unbelievable if you don’t like something the management will say too bad. So after our $100 meal for the two of us we will not be going back, and when the server told us the manager said to bad, we told her we would not be returning. Just stay away, there is so many Better Choices in Lawrence than this low class place. The food is hit or miss and who needs to pay to be disappointed.
Great food if you’re not looking for anything fancy. A lot of food for your money. Oh and it tastes AWESOME
Amazing food, fast service and beautiful presentation. The ONLY downside is the tightness of the space in the restaurant.
Great food, service.. We went as a group of 5 on a Saturday evening, we got in quickly even though the place was full and busy. The waiter was friendly from start to finish, and the food was delicious, with large entree servings. Beats all the large chain restaurants, hands down!
As a HEAVY traveler, I will now make a point to quardinate my trips to stop here. Just excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Jeff is a world class server.
