Been four times now. First was phenomenal and the past three times have been subpar. Recently the food has been bland and many of the staff members are rude. It’s also too busy to get a table on the weekends. I’d rather go to Wheat Fields or Ladybird.

The best. It’s cool. It’s tasty. There’s coffee. GOOD coffee. And fresh juice (usually). And cocktails?!? You want to try The Kansan with LINK sausage (top 2 Ive ever had) and sourdough toast with orange marmalade. I also highly recommended a side of hollandaise sauce and that you slather a 50/50 mixture of the soft butter and marmalade on your toast.

The Roost is one of the best places in Lawrence for breakfast/brunch food. That being said, be prepared to wait over an hour on the weekend anytime after 9am. Great brunch, but not waiting an hour for it.

Good breakfast place. The food was great and some awesome coffee drinks. Terribly long wait for a table. I would suggest you stop in to put your name in with the hostess and then come back 45 minutes later. Worth the wait.

Normally love this place but this morning after calling ahead to put our name on the list we waited over an hour and were passed over when someone else complained. When I raised our concern the hostess swore she called our name and never apologized. We were standing next to the hostess desk for most of the wait time and our name was never called. No apology and no comp of a coffee or anything. Very poor attitude

New Favorite Spot. My new favorite go-to breakfast/brunch spot. Amazing food that is fresh and local. My favorites: potato pancakes, the fried egg sammy, and really any of the great breakfast combos. They have the best french toast I’ve probably ever had. They have delicious bakery items too! For lunch they also have this amazing mac & cheese styled however you like – it’s delicious. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out. It’s better than the restaurant that previously occupied this space (Milton’s).
