Only the chips were good. My spouse and I ate there today. We were both very disappointed. Upon entering, we were barely greeted and waved to follow a guy to the closest table to the door. The chips were good and then it went down hill. The salsa tasted like it was doctored up pace picante. The carnitas had a strange seasoning. The cilantro rice was awful, clearly from a bag. The fresh greens were your basic bag salad. Actually nothing seemed to be prepared fresh. The wait staff, while abundant, seemed oblivious. Our waters weren’t kept full. Despite them having water pitchers everywhere. We will not be returning.

The music is too loud, the silverware was dirty, the service was mediocre, as was the food. The fajitas were cold and most likely heated in a microwave. Food residue is splattered on the walls. Won’t be back.
The best. Cactus Grill is a Leawood institution. Easily my favorite place. It feels like home, always run into friends, delicious food, awesome margaritas. Summers on the patio, winters by the big tv’s. What more do you need?
Great food at inexensive prices! We had 3 different menu choices and everyone liked what they got and enjoyed trying each others’! We’ll definitely go back – there’s more choics we need to try!
Withdrawals. I moved away from the area and honestly have withdrawals from this restaurant! I was one of their frequent customers (for over 10 years) and cannot think of an instance in which I was unhappy with my meal. Order the espinaca (cheese dip)- it’s hands down the best in the kansas city area.
