Rude Server. I used to always go to the Gaslight Grill for happy hour every week and sit on the patio with friends but the waitress that always has the patio area is so rude we decided to stop going. She made us feel like we did not belong there. She said she would separate the checks but when we got the bill it was all together and was very irritated when we asked her to fix it. She did this 3 occasions that we were there.
Such a disappointment. Not worth the drive!!. Go elsewhere. Overpriced. Bad service. Ran out of drinks 3 times. My fillet was dry. My salad never came out!! Ambiance is lacking! Too loud. Don’t go here to celebrate anything special. Hereford House makes a better steak. Food looks beautiful, that’s about it. Oh and the carrot cake was nothing more than a stale carrot muffin sliced and layered with canned cream cheese frosting.
Fantastic dining experience. We went here for my b-day, and the experience was wonderful. Best quality steaks in the KC Metro area, especially the blue cheese encrusted ribeye. They are pretty expensive, but the prices are well worth it considering the quality of the food and the portions served. Couldn’t have been happier with our dining experience.

Apple Wood Smoked Bacon. 10/10. You have to try this place. It’s worth the $25 dollars for brunch!!
No.. There are so many fantastic places to dine here in Leawood but this just isn’t one of them. VERY average food, lack of seasoning, sub-par quality on meat left us incredibly disappointed even on our 3rd try here. Bland, greasy crab cakes and rubbery, over cooked shrimp. Brunch with friends was bland and dull and our guests commented that the food tasted like a retirement home where no salt was allowed. We are in our late 40s but always feel like we are the youngest people there. Music is the exact same snoozefest regardless of when you go. It’s too bad because they have a lovely place and fabulous patio.
Poor service. I have been to this restaurant multiple times and always felt a little disatisfied with the service. The most recent time I had to send my salmon back 3 times. I understand it is cooked medium at this restaurant, but it should have looked at least similar to the others at the table. My salmon was considerably less cooked than theirs and had a shiny pink color. The 1st time it was returned to me in a to-go box that looked like it had been put in the microwave. It was outrageous. I used to be a server and try to be overly courteous to all restaurant staff, but I didn’t feel like this was returned. I also never send food back, but I made an exception this ONE time, because I could not eat that. When we left I walked by the manager and thanked him for providing me with a nice piece of salmon. He was not friendly about it and said something about how he’s sorry that I don’t like that they cook their salmon medium. I was really surprised that even the manager responded this way about the situation. I haven’t been back since and won’t be back.
