An improvement for this location. We had eaten at this location before when it was a Mexican restaurant. It was not a good experience, so I was a little hesitant about Murray’s but we decided to try it out. I ordered the Rueben. The bread was toasty and had some texture, which I enjoyed. I often find soggy bread on Rueben sandwiches, but this was a pleasant surprise. The coleslaw appeared to be homemade, not some prefabricated kind out of a package. It was delicious! The service was attentive, with quick refills on water. The food was good, even with my non-adventurous choices. I will be returning to Murray’s Tables & Tap to tackle the Burly sandwich. Besides, where else can you find Harp on tap?
Great Service! Great food!. We really enjoyed our visit to Murray’s. It has the warm inviting ambiance of a pub with a friendly staff. The Reuben sandwich and sweet potato fries were excellent and served hot. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. With Stella Artois on tap how can you can’t go wrong! If Stella’s a little too strong for you Kansas City’s own Wheat Beer and Summer Shandy are also on tap!
Food was average and service was not very good. Our waiter was nice but slow. I went for brunch and will probably not visit again
Really enjoyed it!. Came here today, a Saturday afternoon, and really enjoyed our experience. Our server, Latty, was excellent! Greeted us immediately, got our drinks quickly, showed up at all the right times to check on us, did a great job with service. I enjoyed the chicken wings and particularly enjoyed the bacon bacon burger. It was great! Had little bits of ground bacon in the meat mixture, nice couple of pieces of fresh tomato, green leaf lettuce, nice soft fresh bun, and unlike some other places, the burger and bun were the same size so you’re not left with unused bun at the end. Very flavorful burger. And I liked the beer battered onion rings as well. My wife had the Murray’s dog and they use Nathan’s hot dogs, nice choice there. She really liked it. I liked the layout and atmosphere as well. The bar is separated so if you want to hang out in the bar, you can, but the tables are well spaced and you could carry on a conversation. And you could see the TVs from the tables as well if you wanted to, but the sound was not so loud on the TV that you couldn’t hear. Comfortable chairs and tables, nice restrooms. So we’ll definitely be back. Also the manager stopped by to say hello and ask us about our experience, which I thought was also a nice touch. There is a nice variety of items on the menu. And the wine list is pretty good as well – not a huge selection, but well chosen wines. Game day and happy hour menus are a good deal, too. This may be a hidden gem!
Even Better After Renovations. Murray’s is a very nice place to visit. The food is very good (Seafood Pasta!), and the staff is friendly. The renovations to the dining room are nice and having live music is always nice. We will be visiting again!
The Burly Club. A friend told me about the Burly Club at Murray’s and raved about it. I have to say he wasn’t exaggerating. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The jalepeno sausage really made it. Can’t wait to go back for another.
There’s nothing irish on the menu.
