I’ve been to North before and loved it. We went last night to celebrate a birthday. We had 7:45 reservations and it was insane. With no server available at 8pm we finally took a seat at a shared high top table at the bar. Once we figured it out it was half price bottles of wine night, it made sense as to why everyone was hanging around. We joined in and shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. We also split the bruschetta. My sister in law ordered the farm salad and I had the fig & prosciutto pizza. The 4 rating might solely be based on the pizza alone. It was nothing short of amazing. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Great food with great ambience. Not to mention about the music too. Love their patata pizza. I ask them to remove the bacon and believe me egg and potato combination on a pizza is just something out of the box.
Have dined here several times so I’m posting review of most recent experience. On this visit, we had Sam, who did an absolutely OUTSTANDING job with service. I mean, it was at or above the level of service I’d expect with the finest of dining establishments. He was on top of everything without being intrusive. He knows his menu items and the wines and made good recommendations. Really pleasant and friendly, just a great service experience. Now, the food is excellent. The meatballs are excellent as are the Zucca chips. I haven’t had a pasta dish I didn’t like. They have a good variety of pizzas, and as a NY pizza snob, I’ll say I’ve been very impressed with North’s offerings in pizzas. I think the one I had on this visit had Soppresata which was delicious, along with arugula, which they did not burn like some places, they must have added it right at the end because it was fresh and peppery and delicious. My wife loves the chicken salad sandwich and those fried potatoes are to die for. And it’s a really fun bar, we often have a drink after dinner because the bar is so much fun too. Really enjoy dining here. Once in a while, you hit a bump in service but overall this place is excellent and will flourish based on its food and service.
Dinner. Great service and attention to detail. Food was very good with lots of flavor.
Not bad, but a bit pricy for what you get.
Awesome. Had braised short ribs so good. The fianc had the sausage pasta an it was crazy delicious. Gotta try the zucca chips. Two meals, an app, and two beers still only about sixty bucks. All thumbs up.
Favorite neighborhood spot. I have been happy with my meal at North every time, wether is was for a date night with my husband, or lunch with friends (though I do not wear goggle glasses and have enhancements as someone suggested of the Leawood women who dine there). Zucca chips, Bruschetta, and Calamari are great starters. The strawberry goat cheese salad is my favorite. For dinner, I have had everything from the pizzas to pork or sea bass- all are good. They have a great wine list and Wednesday is 1/2 price bottles of wine night so that is a great option when you need a mid-week break.
