First time in smashburger . I got the Kansas City burger recommended by our cashier and absolutely love it. Would recommend this place to my friends.
I’ve never had a bad meal at Smashburger whether I go for ground beef or chicken. Today I tried the Windy City burger and I guess I finally have to admit to myself, I’m not that crazy for the pretzel bun. I recommend everything else on the menu.
Understaffed and Overcooked. A co-worker and I stopped into this location to grab some food on lunch. We came to find out that this location was understaffed and orders where backed up 1 hour. This information was presented to us after we have been waiting over 30 min. to get our food. This location was so understaffed they didn’t clean off the tables after customers left. Once receiving the order and examining the product the meat was over cooked and cold. Orders where left out under the heat lamp and orders where missed as another customers order was sitting on the counter for 10 min. truly a bad experience.
The avocado club Smashchicken sandwich is VERY tasty. The Smashburger is juicy, and delicious. Ingredients are fresh and plentiful. The side salad is very good. I especially like the tangy chipotle dressing, but they also offer other dressings including a vinaigrette dressing. I have tried the sweet potato fries, and they are very good. The employees are friendly, the food is consistently good, the restaurant interior is clean and tastefully decorated, and the prices are reasonable with the customer survey discount (free side item). They also have an e-club for other discounts.
Best Veggie Burger in KC. I’m a vegetarian, and LOVE that I can go to a burger place with my family and get a fantastic veggie burger. The rest of the family seems pretty crazy about their meat choices, as well. The milkshakes are wonderful, and the fries are great. Get the Sweet potato smash fries – YUM. Oh! And the fried pickles are great, too. Veggie Order: Black bean burger, avacado club style, no bacon.
We went on Easter Sunday. Not very crowded. I had a custom burger, which was ok but unremarkable. My wife had the spinach salad, which was quite tasty and unique. My daughter also had a burger that was adequate. We also ordered a variety of side dishes since this was our first visit. The basic fries were just that, basic. The onion haystacks were well seasoned and very tasty. The sweet potato fries were also a pleasant surprise and quite flavorful. We also ordered the smash fries and concluded you have to really like rosemary to enjoy these. Not a big fan of those, but your mileage may vary. The service is what made the biggest impression to our family. When the server brought our food to the table, I pointed out that we hadn’t received our smash fries. She went to the counter and conferred with the person who took our order. When she returned, she told us that the cashier hadn’t heard our order and she would bring us our smash fries. I checked our receipt and verified that the fries were ordered and paid for. While eating our meal, the server passes our table at least 6 times, stopping at the next booth frequently to chat with friends. After we had finished eating our meal, the server came to clear the table and asked how we enjoyed our meal. I told her the food was ok, but we never got our smash fries. She went to the kitchen and returned with our fries and NEVER SAID A WORD of apology or explanation. The bottom line for us is that the food was ok, but not noteworthy. The cost was ok at $35.00 for the three of us. The service was lax and was unfortunately the most memorable portion of our visit. We agreed there was no reason to return.
Really good burger. I will definitely go back when I want a good hamburger (unless a 5 Guys is closer) I like the smashfries, but my wife didn’t. She thought the fries would be better with a chicken sandwich than with a burger.
