Excellent overall. Sushi is well presented and tastes superb. The salmon skin roll is unique and especially good! The baked green lipped mussels come in a sauce so delicious you might attack fellow diners to get it all off the plate. Make a reservation so you can get one of the three cool private Japanese style closed off rooms- totally great effect. The baja roll was not very good, but that is just our tastes. Clean restrooms and overall a wonderful dining experience.
I’m going to honest, I was really worried when the fried tofu looked like it was moving but it was really good. And the sushi was also great.
I just paid $23 for a meal that took over 30 min to get to my table. The ginger salad dressing was bitter. The sushi (California roll and avocado roll) tasted stale. The rice was pasty. The teriyaki chicken was good though. My server was combative when I mentioned I had waited for over 30 min for my meal. He said I should have ordered a bento box instead. I wouldn’t recommend to a friend and don’t plan on ever returning.
Great atmosphere, wonderful, fresh sushi, unique rolls, delicious seaweed salad! Would definitely make it a regular place to go to if I lived in KC!
Love, love, love this place! Their sushi rocks!Sushi House has happy hour from 3 to 6 every day except Sundays. Even on Saturdays you get happy hour prices. You gotta try the Crazy Lobster Roll, that’s a direct order. I also love the Spicy Temptation Roll, Roll 5041, and the fatty salmon sashimi appetizer. There are way too many faves to mention.
It’s good. It’s not the best in KC, but it’s good. Bring your wallet though. My wife and I typically get some saki, maybe a beer each and 4 rolls, and we’ve never made it out of here for under $100 for that.
Over priced and underwhelming. Food is average at best, chicken teriyaki is almost inedible- tasted like the grill had never been cleaned. There are much better sushi restaurants near by.
