Fantastic coffee shop. Very creative drink options and well pulled shots. Good mix of people. Baristas are always nice and manage to keep up even during their busy times. Plenty of seating and a back room that can be reserved for quiet study or group time. Good place for a daily visit.

Coffee Okay, Baristas Rude. I’ve been waiting to write a review for Black Dog to make sure I wasn’t basing my experience off of one visit. What I have experienced is sub-par coffee, and not so nice baristas. The atmosphere is great and it’s usually a pretty busy place which can make or break my experience depending on the day. I used to love coming here, but now I’m not so sure I can stomach down mediocre coffee with unfriendly service.
Good Coffee, sub-par Pastries. REALLY great coffee selection. I had their coffee cake, though, and I have to say I wasn’t impressed. To be fair, though, I’m a Chef and a HUUUUGE snob when it comes to certain pastries. But whatevski. Go for the coffee. I had the Toasted Marshmallow coffee and it was super-tasty. wannabgourmande.com

Utterly Superb. I used to go here all the time, until I moved away. As of recently, I’ve moved back, and have NOT been disappointed by becoming a returning customer. The drinks are fantastic, the service is with a smile, the general experience was pleasant and sincere. Unlike bigname corporations, Blackdog uses a semi-automatic machine– this means the espresso takes TALENT to make, not just push a button. Try this place out, and you won’t be disappointed!
