Live in NY and Lenexa, Holy Land is the stop for dinner take out. Outstanding food served by very nice people. Not 1 favorite dish; everything is fresh and perfectly prepared.

Worst restaurant experience in KC to date. My usual place for gyros was closed so I gave this place a try. Horrible food and horrible service. Extremely rude when ordering over the phone and when walking in to carry out our order. Ordered 2 gyro plates, one had about 1 oz of tzatziki sauce, the other had none, and both were served with cold, dry and tasteless rice. The meat had little flavor. The hummus was the only good food we tried. And all of this for nearly twice the cost of what we normally pay for the same amount of food at our usual gyro place.

I stopped in this last Tuesday around 7 30. There were no customers and they were cleaning up . Being my first time and not knowing there menu I asked for a chicken and hummus platter. Was told they don’t have anything like that. Just reviewed the menu today and looks like they do. I thought it was strange that they didn’t serve hummus. Apparently they do they just didn’t want to serve me at 7 30. Really wanted to try this place but will not be back. I don’t feel like I should have to beg a restaurant for my business

Stay Away!!. Attitude is really rude. They will give you a look that they are doing you a favor by providing food. If you want to try real Mediterranean food go to Jerusalem Cafe or Olive Cafe. Much better menu with less price and they know how to behave with customers.

Good Soup. Had the combo app for one and the lentil soup. Ate everything. Like the smoky taste of the eggplant dip. The tabouli had a lot of dressing unlike other places. Seemed odd that there was no tzatziki sauce for falafel. Asked if they sold gyro meat to go, but $13.95 a pound is a bit pricey. But getting the combo app and lentil soup for $10 is a good deal.

OMNOMNOMNOM. I have my fair share of Middle Eastern food, including food from the Middle East itself from my travels, and Holy Land Cafe is definitely one of the best places in KC for Middle Eastern food. The falafel is perfectly crisp, warm, and one of my favorites. Honestly, you can’t go wrong when going here. Everything is delicious. Sure there might be a few off days but from my experiences I have witnessed consistency. Don’t let the reviews discourage you, you would be cheating your stomach by skipping out on this place.
