Good food, I have went to this place quitea few times and I think its good for the price, the people with the reallybad reviewscan’t be very smart and also they can’t very nice people because this place is not like you say in it is. If the place was that bad how would they still be open in the same location for 26 years Dah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do admit the hot and sour soup is a little different but it still is ok, all the food is ok, I do find it a little strange thatthey are not open on weekends but I guessit’s their choice. I will be going back myself and if there is somethingI don’t like I won’t eat it and I’ll eat the food I Like. I think the egg drop soup is very good. Some of the other food isvery good also , So if you like it maybe I’ll see you there, if not , DON’T GO! Ron The Bluesman

This place is not so bad when you first walk in. It smells good, lots of people and very friendly employees. But thennnn…You are immediately required to pay upfront. You are sat a table next to duck and deer hunting wallpaper and (inconveniently for some people) have to get your own drinks. The buffet was not only short of variety but there was only a spoonful of food in each container. If you’re lucky you’ll find some meat however it’s mostly dried, old, shriveled up vegetables. When you do find some meat you’ll notice it’s all the same fried pieces of chicken with different sauces. You have to request what you would like to eat because apparently they’re not going to refill it otherwise. The food wasn’t very good at all.. Very disappointing! Their clientele seemed to be regulars only because the owner would ask them how their kids games went and how their dogs were doing Etc… We even overheard an elderly man say he goes there for the cherry jello because it’s rare to find a place with it… So if you want cherry jello this is the place do go! Lol oh and for dessert they offer ice cream you are able to scoop out yourself… It looks like it’s been sitting out for 2 months at least. I wouldn’t waste $10 there ever again.. In fact I wouldn’t waste $5!

Very weird. We tried the for the first time tonight and also for the last time, The place felt like some weird truck stop in the middle of no where. We felt like having some Asian food what we got was ass-ian food, Well Asian food in their eyes is all completely fried! 95 percent of the items were fried. Remember the movie National lampoons Vegas Vacation were cousin Eddie is at the Buffet? Well that is what this experience was like.. The food was not even ok it was well below par. If this was a movie it would get 0 out of 5 popcorn bags, If this restaurant was a lawyer it would fail the bar exam 4 times than dropout! If this were a Hotel it would get less than a one star ratting! IF this were a Chinese restaurant it would just suck!!! Don’t go here

Don’t waste your money. I’ve never had to pay my check in advance. Now I understand why you pay before you’re seated. The food is terrible. The hot and sour soup tastes sweet. The sweet and sour sauce tastes like ketchup and it also tastes like the hot and sour soup. We went on a Friday night, and it was busy. We had to ask them to bring out more food because most of the buffet was empty. Most of the dishes were chicken and inedible. $30 for 3 people and I even had to get my own water. If I hadn’t paid before I was seated, I would have complained and asked for my money back.

Those three little words that mean so much. Now I have to admit to a certain fondness for your basic hole-in-the-wall kinda operation. The big buffets are nice for variety and all that, but these places have a certain charm. That being said, I’d still have passed this place by on its own merits: too far away from home or work, plenty of other Chinese places around, and they’re not open on weekends–big mistake, in my book. Frankly, I would never have darkened the door of the place were it not for three little words:Springfield. Cashew. Chicken.Yes, Springfield expatriates the world over have a long-standing love-hate relationship with that peculiar dish: combining the mystery of the orient with the midwestern proclivity for fried meat lumps with gravy. Comfort food, people: the culinary answer to the Stockholm Syndrome. And Fire Wok has it.There’s a couple other places that claim to do this particular dish in the metro area, but this one so far is the closest I’ve found. You’ve gotta have the crunchy coating on the chicken, like rogue mcnuggets. The sauce is all-important: it has to be just right. And If they don’t have little diced-up bits of spring onion to sprinkle on top, well, they’re just not even trying. Fortunately, all the elements come together, here: the only missing ingredient is the cashews themselves. A mysterious omission, but bring your own–you’ll be fine.As for the rest of it? Well, typical small, family-run Chinese buffet. What can I say? You’ve had it before, you’ll quite likely have it again.

Springfield style Cashew Chicken. If you like Springfield style cashew chicken this is the only option in Kansas City. This is a typical chinese buffet. You may want to bring your own cashews as they did not have any when I went. Overall it was okay, but the springfield style is the only reason I will go back.

Great crab rangoon and friendly atmosphere. The servers were talking with regulars in a welcome familiar fashion. The bathroom was pretty clean too.
