Wonderful ribs and staff. They run some good specials on the weekends on baby back ribs. Don't forget the onion rings. Worth the drive north.…

Outstanding food and service. They live up to KC BBQ reputation. Will definitely be going back as long as I’m working here. They need to franchise nationally.
I haven’t been to Johnny’s in a long, long time. I have to say that I was happy with my meal today. I got the two meat dinner with chicken and sausage, fries, rings, and beans. I wouldn’t have complained if they had given me a little more chicken though.
Loved it!. Decided to have lunch there today. Service was fantastic. Food was good and they have strawberry soda (best thing with BBQ!)Adding this one to the list of BBQ joints I like to eat at in KC.
I guess I was expecting too much. The devotion to this place by lifelong lovers of BBQ… The brisket was passable but the pulled pork was horrid, sauce had no flavor and pork was soooo dry. The beans were sour, no sweetness at all. The best thing on the plate were the onion rings, that’s not good. The service was excellent but the food will keep me from coming back. That’s what I get for going anywhere that isn’t Ok Joes.
Awesome Wraps. Southern Pork BBQ wrap is so good that I’ve never ordered anything else on the menu.
Good place! Seen on Diner, Drive-ins and Dives! Great burnt ends sandwich and good ribs. Good food in a family friendly atmosphere.
People actually like this place?. I walked over from my hotel to try out Johnny’s and I find it hard to believe this place rates above one star with anyone. To put it nicely, I did not like the BBQ. The sauce had no flavor and did nothing to rescue the bland meat (the ketchup tasted better to me), the meat (beef, chicken and sausage) had zero BBQ flavor and tasted more like walmart deli meat, the fries were obviously from frozen, the beans were ok, the cole slaw was the only item I semi-liked. I left 75 percent of the food on the plate – I never do that. Very disappointed. Diners, Dives and Drive-ins TV show did a segment there – now I distrust their reviews as well. Agree with the reviewer below: epic fail.
