For as long as I’ve resided in the northeast Johnson county area, I have fond memories of Saturdays filled with Werner’s sausage. I can’t count the number of Saturday morning spent doing yard work followed by a well-deserved Italian sausage or two. Cheap dogs, tasty dogs and a grill master that you better be ready for! Great place to grab food to go.
Our family has been buying our Christmas sausage here for as long as I can remember. Not only do the have great sausages, but great deli sandwiches. I eat lunch here at least twice a month. Best sandwich in town, and about $2 less a sandwich than Planet sub or equal.
Hot Beef Injection. This place makes some mean dogs grilling ’em out by the street. You know it’s good when there’s a line of people waiting and one chick claimed to have driven 2 hours just for the privilege of chugging their meat sticks. I got the italian and andouille and both were really good with great spices. Only suggestion would be to serve them on a fancy, fresh made local bun instead of the 10 for $2 grocery store hot dog buns.
