Interesting. I’ve lived in Newton for over five years now and grew up in nearby Sedgwick and have never heard anybody so much as mention this place. I’ll drive by this place 99 times and it always looks closed, but on the 100th time I see lights on and a couple of cars parked outside. Took a look at the posted hours and it seems they’re only open about three days a week. Sadly typical for a Newton mom and pop restaurant. Long story short, decent Mexican food, sad drab dated (1970s) interior – but clean, nice server lady, chips and salsa are not complimentary.Nothing to write home about. I don’t understand how a restaurant like this stays open in Newton when 90% of all other mom and pops are failing. Baffling. Anyway decent food and prices, but not unlike any of the other 10 or so Mexican restaurants in the area. Drive by and look at their hours before you go.
