The night didn’t start off well. When we showed up there was nobody at the host stand. One waitress walked by looked at us and proceeded to go and yell at a new person. She told her that it was her job to come seat us. She quickly came up and apologized and took us to our seats. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The rolls that are brought out before dinner were warm and buttery. The salad wasn’t to bad either. However the entrees weren’t very good. I ordered pork chops and my fiance got a sirloin, both were tough and dry. Overall the food quality just isn’t there for the price.
Steak was dry and tough. And they even undercooked it. Flavor wasn’t bad. All of the service was friendly and prompt. I’m guessing the cook used high heat so he could cook it quickly… I would prefer low heat and cooked thoroughly. A good steak is worth waiting for. It was a place that I wanted to try just to say I have been there and tried it and that’s about all I can say.

Decent small town fare. Dinner rolls were very good. We had pork chops and teriyaki chicken. Green beans were good…. Mashed potatoes were instant… Yuk! Very friendly staff.
I’m not sure why this place gets such a bad rep. It’s actually pretty good. It’s got a clean, comfy atmosphere and the staff is very down to earth. I really enjoy that the majority of their food is homemade. They fresh make their rolls (they are to die for), their salad was good, and they said they cut their meat in house. Much better than processed steaks for sure! Finally, they were very reasonably priced, with large helpings. It’s a great place to take a hungry family without breaking the bank. I will be returning!
I’d rather grill at home or drive to Wichita. I’ve been here twice and I’ll never go back. Appitzer cheese fries wasn’t cooked long enough. The cheese just falls off. The steak is tough and the bun for the burgers was so big that I cut the top portion in half and made just that portion the bun.
