We love this place. Their Positively Berserk ribs are delicious. We get that and share it between a family of 4. All of the sauces are great. The spicy sauce is not very spicy, but it is my favorite. The mac and cheese is very thick and cheesy and the kids love it. We usually go on weekends or evenings and it isn’t very busy, so the layout works fine. One of my favorite Kansas City spots.

Worth Checking Out if You’re in the Neighborhood. I ordered the KC Original sandwich and the mac & cheese. The brisket was sliced thicker than I prefer for a sandwich, but was tender and flavorful. The pork was uninteresting. Overall the sandwich was enjoyable. The bacon and onion straws are a nice touch. I found their standard sauce way too sweet. The hot sauce had better flavor, but still too sweet for me. Both sauces are syrupy and sticky. The mac & cheese was very creamy. I enjoyed it.We didn’t have a problem getting a seat at 6:30 on a Fri night, although the dining area was nearly full. The dining area was pretty standard for a BBQ joint. The restroom was clean.My overall impression is neutral. CGE is worth checking out if you happen to be in the neighborhood. There are better BBQ restaurants in Olathe/SW Olathe, and of course throughout KC.
Would not recommend – bad experience. I tried this bbq place and was very disappointed by the layout of the restaurant which allowed for absolutely no flow of traffic, the complete lack of customer service and the cold, mediocre food. We will not be going back and I would not recommend It. The side of beans tastes exactly like Bush’s baked beans with bbq sauce added. Which is fine but I would not go out to eat this type of food. The pork sandwiches were cold as if the meat had been sitting out.
