The manager on duty this evening was one of the rudest, most unprofessional managers I have seen. He was not only rude and obnoxious to our group of ten people, but I heard him doing the same thing in the same manner to other customers. When we were finally seated the food was most definately good Just having to deal with that manager is enough to chase customets away.
I’ve went to the Golden Corral in Olathe many times and I think it is a okplace to go for the money there is always something good to eat and whatyou don’t like you don’t have to eat it. They also have a Breakfast Buffet it’s okalso. I have noticed that lunch isnot as good,Sunday is good if you go late inthe day or evening. Just ok not great, use to be much better than now in 2015.. Go to Ryans at 75th and Nieman rd. instead much better service and better food!

BAD EXPERIENCE. My husband and I ate at the Olathe Golden Corral, on Black Bob. We had never been to a Golden Corral, and because of the experience at this eatery, we will never go back to the Golden Corral.The food was just awful!!!! Tables weren’t cleaned in a timely manner. The food was presented in a sloppy and unappetizing manner only inviting contamination from the environment and the customers who leaned over all the food bars with their hanging outerwear — no effective sneeze guards. The food itself was cold when it should be warm and vice versa. It was disgusting. The staff didn’t check on the buffet items to ensure they were fresh. Basically, there was a big lack of selections.This food is not worth the price — we have eaten at some excellent buffets at casinos and other privately owned restaurants for about the same price and their food quality far exceeds that of the Golden Corral. People would do themselves a great service by visiting what they think are expensive buffets only to discover similar prices to Golden Corral and that’s where similarities end. Initially, we had always planned to go to Topeka’s Golden Corral, but as long as we were shopping in Olathe, we decided to try it out –BIG MISTAKE –at this rate, we will skip Topeka, too.I tried one fudge square and a small brownie. The fudge tasted like a square of butter–no chocolate flavor whatsoever. The brownie was more of a sticky pudding.
It is what it is.. A buffet in which you can pig out. And this Olathe gc does it far better than any other similar style buffet in the area. The various kinds of shrimp alone make the price an absolute steal. The bread is delicious and they have a great salad bar. Obviously you are not getting gourmet food here, but you should know that before going in. If you are looking for a buffet, this is one of the best.
It’s ok, the food is fairly pleasant for what you pay. If you’re looking for somewhere to chow down and you have no care about your weight, health or what goes into your body then this is the place for you. There are a lot of dangerously obese people that like to drool and sweat over each other to get to the foods. I just head for the salad and fruits. There’s a great choice of salad, I’d like to see a better choice of fruit though, tinned fruit and sloppy apple sauce doesn’t float my boat.
Golden Corral is good food for a good price. Excellent for big groups. Especially a sports team
