We actually liked his place quite a bit! I agree with the reviewer who said the booths needed more padding, but the food was yummy. The sake had a hint of apple flavor that I liked. We ordered the crab Rangoon which my date like but I didnt care for so much. They also didnt have spicy mustard! WHAT?!?!?! I ordered the Shrimp Mango Roll and it was so unusual and delectable. I would order it again. My date had the Crunchy Salmon Roll that had a good singular flavor. He prefers more fresh, multi flavored rolls. He wants to go back and order something else…more traditional. I had a bite and didnt care for it either. I like more fresh as well. Business really picked up, which was really co to see. They were almost full!
Booths need more support/padding, I felt like I fell to the floor when I sat down. That’s my ONLY complaint. Awesome lunch specials! Best prices I’ve seen anywhere. Very friendly and prompt wait staff. Miso soup was good. Ginger dressing was a little sweet, still good, just different. I ordered the 3 rolls for $9.99 special and got the: tuna/avocado, eel/avocado and spicy salmon rolls. All were EXCELLENT! You know the food is good whenever conversation stops and there’s silence during the meal.

One step up from gas station sushi. Good sushi is amazing while bad sushi is disgusting … my lunch at Niji Sushi definitely falls into the latter category. When trying a new sushi place, I always start with the eel roll and the crunchy shrimp since both are on the beginner end of the sushi scale. With dirty dishes, greasy tempura batter, and stale rice, Niji Sushi will not be getting a second taste test from this diner.
Special Rolls. Amazing Sushi close to my current residence!
Nothing special,
My vote for best sushi in the city. Beautifully prepared and presented, quality ingredients, and it’s even reasonably priced. Cannot recommend highly enough.
