Mediocre, average. With such a great location with thousands of business folks a golf drive away, you’d think the decor would get updated and the menu reprinted and the little signs much more professional (the signs for the soup are nasty looking. I know times are tough but they are tough for everyone.) The food today wasjust okay as well. Paid $10 for half a sandwich, bowl of soup, and a soda. The soup was bland. And the amount of meat on the sandwich was about 2oz. The decor needs updating and something more than a 16 x 8 foot mirror to reflect an already boring interior and multiple stained ceiling tiles plus other dirt all around. Very much circa 1980. I write this hoping the owners will do something to energize this space. They do have a few great items on the menu but some food enthusiasm is needed. Come on. You guys can do so much better.
Excellent. Traveling from out of town, I stopped in Adrian’s Cafe because of its location, hoping for a quick no-frills lunch. I was pleasantly surprised by the sandwiches which rank among of the best I’ve had. The service is polite, quick and friendly. The bread is quite good on its own. Generous portions. I highly recommend that you give it a try if you’re in the area.
Probably not. After moving into the area and my office relocating to Corp. Woods I decided to give this place a try. Not exactly what my wife and I expected since it calls itself Cafe. A cafe sells coffee and some light meals. When we stepped in we thought we went in the wrong door since it was like a local Mr. Goodcents. It’s pretty much a deli/bread operation. While the bread is very good (buy a loaf on the way home now and then), it’s half of your sandwich with as thick as they slice it. You could probably take the meat and veggies off the bread, slice one piece in half and use that for the bread…and just eat the other slice alone. If I want a sandwich I’ll go to a sub shop and get what I pay for.
9940 College Blvd. is correct address. A friend took me to lunch here one day, and what a pleasant surprise! Very generic decor, certainly nothing fancy, but the sandwich and bowl of soup I had were absolutely delicious! I normally don’t eat lunch, so I wish this place was open for dinner, but I think it’s a breakfast and lunch only place.
Meh………. This place is only OK. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t really like it either. The sandwiches and the staff are mediocre at best. The original location in Lenexa is slightly better, but not by much (speaking of location, can someone update this address??? They haven’t been on Antioch in YEARS now…..that address is a Larry’s). The only thing I truly liked here was the carrot cake…………it was very good.
Terrible Food, awful atmosphere.. This place is terrible. If you like mediocre sandwiches that taste bland, and you enjoy looking at the boring decor and seemingly uninterested staff, then this is your place. Some little mom&pop restaurants are true gems, but this ain’t one of them. Blech.
Local Excellence. Although the price point is curving up, I love every meal I’ve had at Adrian’s. Half bakery, half deli, Adrian’s dishes great soup and sandwiches. I love the smokey ham on thick sliced, fresh baked rye. Great stuff. This is the best sandwich shop in KC.
