Love this place!. Love the food here. I suggest the meat combo. It’s enough to feed two people. Owners are so nice and friendly. My favorite place for Ethiopian!
Who knew…Ethiopian is so tasty?. I heard this place was good, but that was such an understatement. I wish there was another way to vote, other than a thumbs up, like a heart that says Love it!
Highly Recommended. Elsa’s is superb. Finally, Kansas City has a fantastic Ethiopian restaurant that is affordable, with exquisite food. The cook, Elsa, knows how to create a variety of specialties. My favorites are the spiced red lentils, the doro wat, and the buttery, spicy collard greens. As others have pointed out, the injera is not only delicious, but the waiter is generous in keeping tables supplied with it. Equally important is the service and the hospitality that Elsa offers. All are welcome, and guests are treated royally. I recommend it highly.
Excellent Ethiopian Food and-ddd Hospitality. The food is varied and delicious (making it ideal for vegetarians … or vegans, with a variety of meat offerings as well) and I’m already scheming for my return trip. The owner-chef, Elisabeth, is a charming hostess as well as accomplished chef. My friend, Adele, and I are quite glad we’ve now discovered this jewel and look forward to return visits.If you’ve not already dined here, you need to experience this jewel of a restaurant. Kansas City foodies need to visit this restaurant again and again … to patronize and thereby to keep this restaurant open.Plan on allowing time enough as this is a leisurely meal meant to be savored.
Food was really tasty and full of delicious herbs and spices. People are very friendly. We will definitely be back.
