Just ate lunch @ Firehouse Subs for the first time. This is not your ordinary sub shop! Staff all really friendly & helpful. Restaurant immaculately clean. I had the King’s Hawaiian pulled pork with coke slaw. Pork was tender & slaw was nice with just the right amount of tang. Give this place try. I doubt you will be disappointed.
BEST SUBS IN KC. How do places like Subway stay in business when alternatives such as Firehouse is available? The Hook & Ladder is one of my favorites. I can EAT, and the large subs even fill ME up! They take a bit longer to prepare then other sub shops, but SO, SO, SO, GOOD!! I usually do carry out and I usually wait about 10 minutes from placing my order. Literally 4X the meat commpared to Subway or similar chains. You won’t be dissappointed! Unless someone is one of those constant complainers, I don’t know how ANYone could not like this place!

Seriously Tasty!. My husband is a self-proclaimed sandwich snob (something about being from Philly…) and my kids LOVE fire engines. Enter Firehouse Subs. Great quality and really fun for the kids; they love getting the fireman hats! Or is it fire-person? Anyhow, you just got to check them out. We loved the quality of the bread, the steamed meats and don’t forget that fancy coke machine…we’ll definitely be going back to these folks more and more.The only thing that is kind of a bummer is the location of the Coke Freestyle machine. There literally is no room for a line so it is way-super awkward. Other than that, we are believers in Firehouse!
Just tried it today and I was really impressed with the quality and taste of the food. The portions need a little help as my kids who dont eat a lot were still hungry! Trust me I normally have to force them to eat so a little disappointed but the taste was exceptional.
