This food is delish. The staff is friendly too. Lunch prices are decent.
Excellent food. We’ve been going here for 5 years now. We lived down the street when we first moved to OP. We moved up to KCK a few years ago and still regularly make the drive down to eat Greek. Our kids love it as well. We’ve tried others but this is the best by far!
Consistant!. Been there several times, and have always been super pleased! The gyro meat is very tasty, the chicken gyro is great and the meat is tender and juicy. I love the hummus, especially when they put some hot sauce in with it. Greek salad is standard, but very good. I really have never had anything bad there, and I am always so surprised that it isn’t packed. Definitely a gem, and a go-to for my family when we want Greek food.
Best Hummus, EVER. This is a hole-in-the wall conveniently located by Johnson County Community College, but the food is consistently good, service is excellent, and I have never had better hummus. It’s so incredibly smooth and creamy, with a peppery bite and lots of Tahini, lemon, and garlic. The falafel is likewise terrific: always served piping hot and crisp, and sandwiched in pita that includes that excellent hummus. My one complaint is the Styrofoam. To keep costs down, the food is served on Styrofoam plates or in Styrofoam carry-out containers. Not only is it a disaster for the environment, it just doesn’t feel right. If disposable is the way the restaurant must go, using something biodegradable would induce me to stop in more often.
The salad on my Special Plate had too much oil on it, but the meat, pita, and spanakopita were excellent.
Good spot for lunch. I go to this restaurant about once a week and am always satisfied with the food. I agree that sometimes the gyro meat can be a little dry. I like to order the Special Plate so the gyro meat comes right on a big salad. That, along with the warm, soft pita bread keeps me coming back.
Chicken gyro is awesome. Found this place and was not expecting much. But wow, the chicken gyro is very good. So good I can’t get myself to order anything else, so I can’t speak for the other menu items. The chicken is so tender and seasoned perfectly. The sauce is amazing as well. Try this little uninspiring looking joint. It will be well worth it!
