Mixed feelings. We have dined at Jose Peppers many times and we normally get the same thing- The Creamy Chicken Enchiladas. But last night we tried the fajitas for the first time and we’re disappointed. There was an overwhelming amount of onions and an overwhelmingly lack of peppers. 6 little slices haha to be total. The onions were caramelized nicely, but again WAY to many. And the flavor overall of the fajitas was lacking. We won’t be getting them again. The only other thing we always are disappointed with every time we dine at any of the locations around KC is that there is no mexican music but american pop instead. We seriously have chosen different Mexican restaurants instead because we want the atmosphere.

Gotta Have the Espinaca!. There used to be one in Blue Springs and I was sad when they moved that one to Overland Park. Since my office is there, I go as often as I can. Love them!

Always good. Excellent food and service. Way above the average. After all these years it is still packed and a favorite in the city.

It was very good. Lots of gluten free options. Chicken avocado enchiladas are wonderful.

GREAT food and VALUE. Wonderful service, really good food and reasonable prices! I eat here often, and have never had a bad experience. When going out with a group, this is the only mexican restaurant that all my friends will agree upon. The margarita’s are decent too!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and found surprisingly good food. Espinaca (white queso) dip very flavorful and served with crispy, thin chips. The regular salsa is fresh tasting with just enough cilantro. My taco was filled with tons of ground beef and the regular fixins in a sturdy shell large enough to hold it all together. Beef was well seasoned and taco toppings were fresh. My cheese and onion enchilada included a better than most sauce. All in all I found the food above the norm for a chain restaurant. Would definitely return for dinner.
