Definitely NOT Mall Food. What can I say? The food was fabulous! The nicoise salad was flavorful and tasty from start to finish and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The wait was a bit much, but easily worth every penny. Can’t wait to try something else on the menu!

Never have been disappointed. This place has the best salads I’ve ever had. They have this chicken strawberry salad that is amazing and the MAGIC brownie is sooooo delish.

Upscale Cafeteria-Always Excellent. Everything I’ve had has been really good. The soups, paninis, salads, entrees and desserts are all super special, freshly made from quality ingredients, and for a cafeteria, priced in the higher range. If you love good fresh quality food, you’ll like this clean, cozy cafeteria.

Delicious lunch every time. I stop in here when I want a special lunch. It is set up like a cafeteria and everything they make is delicious. I especially like the tomato-basil soup. Lunch can be a little pricey, but worth it because the food is top notch. I think this is the nicest place to eat in the Oak Park Mall. It is located in Nordstroms on the 3rd floor.

Strawberry chicken salad and a magical lemon ricotta cookie. Today I stopped in to Nordstrom Cafe for lunch. Most everything on the menu looked great, but I settled on the strawberry chicken salad. It had field greens with chicken, marinated onions, candied walnuts, a little goat cheese, and dark cherry vinaigrette. Yum. As it was almost my turn to order, I heard the lady in front of me order the same salad, but a half order. I was excited to hear that you didn’t have to order the whole thing for $9.50. The half order was $6.25, I think, and it was a good portion. Poised after you get your salad, but before you have to pay, is a gorgeous display of come-hither sweet delights. Weight watchers went out the window. I threw in a Lemon Ricotta cookie. The cashier freaked out in a rather endearing way, and raved and raved about how incredible and life changing this cookie was going to be. She said that she recommended one of these to a lady a few months back, and now this lady comes in at least once a week for her Lemon Ricotta cookie fix.Bottom line: the salad was delicious, and the cashier was right on the money about the cookie. I started with the best of intentions, cutting the cookie in half. I had the willpower to only eat half, right? …but it was SO good. So I cut the remaining half in half. …and that was amazing. So, I thought, what’s another quarter of a cookie? I might as well. Yeah, I ate it all, and I have no regrets. If you find yourself in the Nordstrom Cafe, and they have the Lemon Ricotta cookie, do yourself a favor, and throw the diet out the window for the time being. You can start it again in an hour.
