Diner from liberty. We are season ticket holders for many years. We made our first trip to the remodeled theater to find our usual table had been moved by adding another table to the row. The waiter must not have been able to see us or they did not hire staff for added tables. We sat at our cramped table for over 20 min. before our waiter found us. By then the evening we had waited for, for months was ruined for me. However on a good note the food is still good even though the lines are long and slow. This may get better as guests get used to the new layout. The show Forever Plaid was good even though I have seen it before. The new lighting is different. If you loved 80s laser light shows and very close quarter discos, this will be your place to go. For me if more profit was needed raise ticket price rather than adding seats to sell more tickets .

Waited all year for the play Harvey and then the star was a no-show. Michael is a doll in the dining room, miss the previous Chef. Probably a 3 out of 5 Star’s. Still love the NTR30 Dec, 2013Went to see the play tonight. Show was good, food was lacking. Asked a waitress and she said the kitchen has changed also some restaurant people. Seems the chef left and when that happened, I guess they changed how the food should be. Standards seem to be lowered. Was going to book for NYE if they have seating left, but not now
Went to celebrate a anniversary and was disappointed to find that Chef Webster left the restaurant. He always went the extra mile and he made our night when we visited. The food was ok,play ok just felt weird.Chef Mark had visited our table the night my husband Bobby proposed. He taught us how to appreciate food. We miss him already.
Our favorite evening out. New Theater is Kansas City’s best evening out. My husband and I enjoy the experience at New Theater from the moment we are seated to the ending resolution. New Theater has only one weak spot, the salad. Other than that, we look forward to every dish that the chefs so craftily displays on the tastefully decorated buffet line. We love the food, the plays and the headline actors as well as the supporting roles of the regular NT cast. New Theater provides my husband and I will an entire evening of enjoyment. We look forward to our next night of entertainment at the New Theater Restaurant.
