Delicious!. I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Newport Grill. The food was fresh, delicious, and original with a creative variety of flavors. Chris our server provided excellent service and was friendly and extremely knowledgable. The manager came by to check on us a couple of times and made us feel right at home. Really enjoyed the wonderful live music on the patio while enjoying a wonderful meal. I loved the cocktail and wine menu on the IPad. Thank you for a great night!
Excellent Easter Brunch. We enjoyed a delightful Easter Sunday brunch at the Newport Grill on April 5! There were 9 in our party,of various ages and all of us were impressed with the friendly greetings at the door, accommodating, attentive servers, and a generous variety of delicious food in a clean upscale setting. The dining experience was a treat that we look forward to repeating! Thanks ,Paul and staff!Monty K
Less than average food and overpriced. The restaurant looked nice, so we thought we’d try it out this evening. We ordered a hummus appetizer w/ vegetables, ahi tuna, and scallops. The food was mediocre at best, especially considering how much they charge; the bill was almost $90. First of all, the hummus was thick, pasty, tasteless, and lumpy, although the vegetables and presentation were good. The ahi tuna was tasteless, as if it had not even been seasoned. And the quality of the fish was poor. While the scallops were ok for the most part, they were ordered with a pear sauce that was virtually non-existent. There were literally drops of the sauce on the plate. Couldn’t even taste it. Finally, we had to ask our server to refill our drinks, something you don’t expect when you are at an establishment that charges this much and expects 20-25% tips for their servers. A server should routinely check drink levels and refill them without the customer asking. Finally, the restaurant was dead. This speaks volumes to how the city must feel about their food. We won’t be back.
Love sitting at the bar for happy hour.. Everything we have ordered on the happy hour menu, has been great. Peter behind the bar is a pleasure. He told us about wine pairing dinners they have there. We want to go. See you again this week!
Salmon Salid. Lunch. Very tasty salmon on top fresh flavorful salad. Great bread and butter. Water good. Lost of nice sunlight. Want the Lobster shuffle. It is pricey. Let me know when it is on special!
Went for lunch for first time with a group of friends. 4 of us got fish tacos after the server raving about the dish. When the plates arrived, none of the taco dishes were consistent. Half of the tacos had barely any mahi mahi in them for the $12 cost. The fish was dry. Not the best fish tacos. I got a side of fruit instead of fries and the raspberries were all moldy. The friends who got the kale salad were pleased. One friend had to send back her salmon as it was raw. The service was good. Doesn’t make me very excited to have to return in a couple weeks for dinner with another group of friends.
My wife and I had lunch there. I had the crab cake sandwich and she the fish taco. Both dishes were very nice. The service was outstanding! My wife didn’t realize her dish came with fries and she preferred something else. Our waiter came back with freshly steamed green beans as a substitute. We’re looking forward to returning for dinner.
