This was the first Indian Restaurant I got to try. I loved it mainly because of the lunch buffet. If you have not had indian food before it’s a great way to sample what you like. After a few buffet visits, I went for dinner. And to no surprise it was delicious! Chicken Masala is a pretty mild indian dish, that’s what I had.
Great place for Indian food. I really enjoyed everything I tried. I tried the mango chicken and the chicken masala and both were great. Loved the chick pea spinach side too, but can’t remember what it was called-came with the dinner.
Dosa. That’s the word. If you want to eat a good dosa in Kansas city or overland park. This is the place to go. Biryani is also pretty good here. A very good place for Indian a la carte. Famous for south Indian food
If I have to have south indian food in OP, I will recommend this place over any other place, I love their varieties of dosa and idli, north Indian food is complete no here..
One Of The Few Places You Can Get A Dosa In KC. The dosas are worth the visit. The lunch buffet is good, but go in the evening and order off the menu. Take some friends and order a variety to share as this is some the best Indian in KC.I like the baigan barta, palak paneer, and the lamb curry.
Decent Indian With a Large Selection. The quality of the food is good all around, but Ruchi distinguishes itself with the largest selection of Indian cuisine on the buffet I have seen. The staff have been friendly and helpful when I’ve been there. It’s a good option if you’re in the neighborhood.
Aweful Customer Service as usual…. thought that would have changed. I went to Ruchi after a 4 years.. thinking their lousy customer service and attitude would have changed.. but alas I was so wrong.somehow as an Indian, i feel that an Indian restaurant’s customer service and attention towards Indians is the lousiest. Mostly they seem to focus most attention on all Non-Indians (or whites) Ordered a Dal for my daughter, explicitly asking for mild. Came out very spicy. On calling the guy who was seemed the manager and telling him about the situation, his response was immediately that the Dal doesn’t come in mild form. Who is he kidding. I bet he would go all lengths out to make a mild Dal for a Non-Indian.On top of that, instead of trying to fix the solution, he immediately goes behind the screen divider and starts shouting at the server in a loud voice which can be heard across to us. Wow.. this is customer service. Don’t fix the problem, but shout at the cause of the problem. Then he comes and brings a mild curry for the rice and after that never asks us how my daughter liked the curry or is there was anything else he could do. He totally avoided us as he passed by us every timeTo add salt to the wounds, no one ever brought us our check, even as we stood for over 5 min near the front desk, not even the so called manager who so easily shouted at the server. In my opinion, Customer Service is never a hallmark of any Indian restaurant Avoid this restaurant unless you really don’t care about how you are treated
