We think this is the best Mexican food in Johnson County!!!. Food is fresh and good. Service is friendly and professional. The owner is awesome. She hires great staff has a very clean resturant and makes a great atmosphere to enjoy Mexican dinning. We have been going there for 20 years. Five stares
Tasty, but a little Pricey. I had to taco special and some guacamole. The ingredients were all fresh, and the food was really good. Two things I wasn’t impressed about were the prices and the guacamole was mostly just avocado. Granted, the avocado was perfectly ripe, which was great, but I like a mix of fresh ingredients in the guac. I would definintely go back on a special occasion.

Great food and service. My family and I have been going to Torreon for fifteen years. We love the quaint ambience and each family member has a favorite menu item including the pina quesadilla with shrimp. Go on Tuesday night for the best pan fried tacos in town and don’t forget to order sopapias for dessert.. Service is super friendly, and contrary to some other reviews the owner is a delight. Make no mistake- many nights the wait will be long, but it is well worth it! There are many Mexican restaurants in KC, but Torreon is the best.
Good food, service horrible. I have a friend who LOVES this place. My wife and I decided to try it and to get a gift card for my friend who has gone here for years.Long and short: service was so bad, I literally had to get up and get water myself–two different times! Our server seemingly disappeared for most of our meal, and the restaurant was not busy at all (less than 50% capacity).I wrote a letter to the owner–very complimentary of the meal and feedback about the service and never heard a reply. Bad service truly starts at the top! Too many choices in KC that offer great food coupled with first-class service.
Love it!!!. I have been going here for 20 years and love it. If you havent been there it is a must go place.
Average place with an attitude. Food was ok – crowded and slow service but the worst is the attitude of the owner. Just want’s your money could care less about the dining experience.
