  Horrible. Problems right from ordering should have left then. Ordered a breakfast platter was told that to leave out the eggs would cost me Lol I’m already paying once for those eggs n they want me to pay again?!? Got my food with eggs on the side instead. Hashbrowns were raw and they diced my sausage (didn’t order it that way) to the point of my toddlers wouldn’t even eat it.

  New and Improved. Every time I travel through Salina, KS I stop in at Bayard’s Cafe. This last visit was a nice surprise because I found them relocated and more central to the community! They had the most amazing garden salad (fresh, fine shredded vegetables!!!). I also had the chicken noodle dinner. The noodles were made from scratch and served with a hearty amount of chicken. You can absolutely tell they are a mom and pop shop based on the servers and service you receive (Not bad at all! But they’re not trained to up-sell every order, there’s not standard introduction upon arriving at the table, etc). I would recommend Bayard’s to anyone passing through Salina now that the owners have stepped into the kitchen on a daily basis!!

  Stick to the chains…. I love mom and pop places provided the food is good. They try to be good, but miss the mark. I had the Country Fried Steak and Eggs based on some other sites reviews, it was pretty much gross. Stick to IHOP, Waffle House, etc…

  The service was great and friendly. I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes … Amazing! Home style cooking at it’s finest.
